Multiturn incremental encoders
The SOI hollow-shaft encoder is designed to provide accurate position feedback in applications with high safety requirements. The digital output (TTL/RS422 or HTL) is derived directly from the SIN/COS signals and provides reliable feedback for drive systems. This encoder complies with the functional safety standards IEC 61508 (SIL 3) and ISO 13849 (PLe, Category 4), and is therefore suitable for use in safe motor feedback systems in accordance with IEC 61800-5-2. The robust 90 mm housing is available in aluminium, powder-coated aluminium or AISI 303 stainless steel. UL certification is available as an option. For mounting flexibility, adapter sleeves are available for shaft diameters of 20 mm and 25 mm.
