IP: protection in the toughest conditions

At Procim, we deliver measurement solutions that are not only technically superior but also designed to perform long-term in demanding environments. In industrial applications, sensors and encoders are often exposed to dust, water, oil, or other contaminants. Therefore, it's crucial to consider a product's IP rating (Ingress Protection).

The IP rating indicates a product's level of protection against the ingress of solid objects (such as dust) and liquids (such as water). The rating consists of two digits: the first digit indicates protection against solid objects (from 0 to 6), and the second digit indicates protection against liquids (from 0 to 9K). For example, an IP67 rating means a product is completely dustproof and resistant to temporary immersion in water.

For applications in harsh industrial environments, outdoor installations, or wet production environments, it's crucial to choose measuring equipment with appropriate IP protection. Encoders and sensors with a high IP rating guarantee reliability, reduce the risk of failure, and extend the lifespan of your systems.

At Procim, we offer a wide range of products with varying IP ratings, tailored to your working conditions. Whether you work in the food industry, maritime sector, or dusty workshops, we're happy to help you select a solution that can withstand the environmental influences in your application.
